Data Deletion Request

Applies to all GoodGoblin users worldwide

You have the right to request deletion of the personal data GoodGoblin holds about you — regardless of where you live. This includes data collected when you registered or signed in using Facebook Login, Google, Microsoft, Twitter, or any other third-party sign-in provider.

How to Request Data Deletion

Option 1 — Email us directly

  1. Send an email to [email protected].
  2. Use the subject line: "Data Deletion Request".
  3. Include the email address associated with your GoodGoblin account (or your Facebook account if you used Facebook Login).
  4. We will confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.

Option 2 — Remove GoodGoblin from your Facebook apps

  1. Log in to Facebook and go to Settings & Privacy → Settings → Security and Login → Apps and Websites.
  2. Find GoodGoblin in the list and click Remove.
  3. Facebook will notify us of your removal. We will automatically initiate deletion of the data associated with your Facebook login and send you a confirmation email.

Option 3 — Account settings (active accounts only)

  1. Log in to app.goodgoblin.ai.
  2. Go to Account Settings and select Delete My Account.
  3. Confirm the deletion. Your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

What Gets Deleted

  • Your account profile (name, email, grade, school details).
  • Data obtained via Facebook Login or other social sign-in, including the social profile ID and any access tokens we stored.
  • Content you created (essays, college lists, career guidance responses, application materials).
  • Payment and subscription records, subject to applicable legal retention requirements.

Confirmation & Timeline

We will send a confirmation email once deletion is complete. If we are unable to delete certain data (for example, due to a legal obligation to retain financial records), we will notify you and explain the reason.
